I love playing Boomkin and have done some playing myself. I think I would prefer a few changes on your current list. This is what I will probably build but have to do some calculations to see if some of the talents actually add up to be worth it.

Spell hit cap?

Spell hit caps at 202 hit rating, less after some talents. 2/2 Balance of Power is 4 spell hit, so Balance druids with Balance of Power only need 152 spell hit.Ok. Yep i'll trust wowwiki since i've felt that it has more reliable info than many other sites

Bear tanks suck?
{ No Comment }
I guess it's personal experiences and perspective. I've been doing a lot of guild runs; I haven't had any problems. Quite a few of my guildies prefer me as a tank. Because of that, I would be inclined to say bear tanking is fine, but that could be because my guildies aren't idiots. You know, when it matters, I mean.Just read a post from the Shifting Perspective guys. Which in turn caused me to read this thread from the o-boards .
I have noticed I am usually the only bear tank in LFG
New 80 Bear stats?

Back at release, I started running heroics with about 25k health, 36 dodge and 27k armor. But those stats mean something very different nowadays than they did then because of all the changes to bears. I don't think there are any stats on what's needed before tanking heroics atm. Heroics are just so ludicrously easy. However, I'd advise going kitty rather than bear to start. Heroics are easy but thats because everyone is running around in free t9. If you try to start tanking in the basic
The Beast Within: 30 or 10?

Khalane is correct, but the official site still reflects the pre-patch figures. So all Hunters need to be aware of this discrepancy if it matters to them. I took TBW despite seeing the change, and I'm very happy with the result. The immunity to CC and all slowing effects alone is a fantastic ability, adding the damage and mana cost reduction makes this a very worthy 41 point Talent.-Hunter Pet information links:

How to restore missing pet bar button?

You'll need to issue a "/console reloadui" for the newly taught skills to appear on your Pet bar.
Edit: I should point out that this is not ordinarily necessary, and is caused by a known bug.

BM I don’t think it’s that good for PvE

The great thing about having a talent tree that is yours is the fact you can decide what talents YOU want. If this tree makes you happy then by all means play with it. I just cannot see someone not going for one of the 41 pt talents on either BM or Marks. I love my BM build. I find solo'ing kinda too easy. And when it comes to PvP, TBW and BW are total winners for me. I easily hold my own against full Marks hunters. When I was Marks (right before the expansion) silence shot and
